Department of Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership (TLPL)

Who we are

The Department of Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership (TLPL) is one of three departments within the College of Education. Departmental programs encourage thoughtful and responsive explorations of education policies, practices and related social issues.

The Department offers undergraduate study leading to the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.S.), and graduate study leading to the Master of Arts (M.A.) (thesis and non-thesis options), Master of Education (M.Ed.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.).

The Department is structured around three Divisions (Educational Policy and Leadership (EPL); Language, Literacy, and Social Inquiry (LLSI); Science, Technology, and Mathematics Education (STME) housing the programmatic areas.
